Dell Unveils First Wireless Charging Laptop in CES 2017

Tired of tangled wires of your laptop? Dell's new 2-in-1 Latitude 7285 brings wireless charging to laptops.

Another innovative has been presented at the January 5 event of the Las Vegas CES 2017 by Dell. Laptop maker, Dell, has unveiled its new Dell Latitude 7285 and claimed that it is the first laptop to have wireless charging feature.

The Dell Latitude 7285 unveiled at the 2017 Las Vegas CES is a 2-in-1 business laptop. With the performance of a laptop and versatility of a tablet, you can count Dell Latitude 7285 on to deliver exactly what you need.You can use it either as a laptop or a tablet.It's keypad is removable.

Wireless Charging Feature

"Dell will deliver a true wireless experience by incorporating WiTricity magnetic resonance wireless charging technology in the 12-inch Latitude 7285 2-in-1 available later this year," says the company. "When combined with a charging mat and WiGig wireless dock, users can take the Latitude 2-in-1 with them without disengaging any wires or a physical dock."

• Processor:Powering the 2-in-1 laptop is a 7th-gen Intel Core CPU
• RAM: up to 16GB of RAM. 
• Secondary Storage:For storage, the laptop offers up to 256GB M.2 SATA SSD, up to 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD or up to 512GB PCIe OPAL M.2 SSD.
• Camera:The hybrid laptop has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter for selfies.
• Connectivity: For connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, microSD and SIM.
• Battery backup:The company claims that the 2-in-1 can deliver up to 6 hours of battery backup in tablet mode and up to 9 hours when it is attached to the keyboard base.

Dell Latitude 7285 Pricing

Dell has yet to offer any pricing details for  Latitude 7285 2-in-1, or announce a specific release date.Dell says that it will offer more details about the device and its wireless charging capability at the DELL EMC World 2017 event in May.

The Latitude 5285 2-in-1(without wireless charging), for instance, will go on sale starting in February at an $899 price point.You can expect a price range of $1999 to $1299 for Latitude 7285 2-in-1 wireless charging model and commercial launch by the end of second quarter of 2017.
